Student-Crafted Books for the Holiday Season by St. George’s School of Montreal

By November 20, 2012Service Learning Projects

‘Tis the season for memorable holiday gifts and we’ve found the perfect one for a classroom library or any book lover you know. The students of St. George’s School of Montreal wrote, illustrated and published a series of books in French for the School of Hope in Haiti. The books are available for purchase here.

The collection includes a book of fables by the sixth grade class with creative stories such as Le Tigre, le lion et la gazelle and La sauterelle et l’escargot; a book of adventures dreamed up by the fifth grade class and a whimsically illustrated alphabet book Abécédaire by the second grade class.

The book project is part of the Sister School Program between St. George’s School of Montreal and the School of Hope in Haiti. For more information on the Sister School Program visit here. Wishing you a happy holiday season and happy reading!
